Fight for Connar is a local childrens charity created to support families facing the unthinkable - a terminal illness diagnosis.
We stand by families, easing financial strain, providing support and allowing them to focus on what really matters - creating memories that last a life time.
Where it all began
The foundation begun in 2016 to raise funds for our nephew, friend and family member, Connar Gibson who was diagnosed terminally ill with a brain tumor.
To support and help the Gibson family in a time of need, we started a go fund me with the aim of raising a couple hundred dollars, but the "Fight for Connar" page took on far more than we ever thought possible.
We were given the ability to make sure that as Connar fought his battle his family was able to prioritise memory making while we handled the costs.
When Connar passed on the 7th of October 2016 at just 9years old, we as team realised that other families stood in the Gibson families shoes and that Fight for Connar was essential.
Now we continue on, raising funds to support other families facing the same, all in Connars name.
